Trustee Carla Matthews
Carla is a life long resident of Bloom Township. In 2005 Carla was elected to the Board of Trustee's in Bloom Township. She is currently serving her second term in that position. Carla also served on the Steger- South Chicago Heights Library Board from 1995-2001. In 2005 Carla volunteered to help with the Thomas Cellini Huntingtons's Foundation on the Advisory Committee. In 2010 she was appointed to serve as a board member.
Carla graduated from Bloom Township High School and attended Prairie State College Dental program. She has been in the dental field since 1979. Carla and her husband Terry have two grown children and four grandchildren. They are members of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Chicago Heights.
Trustee Kevin J Watson
My name is Kevin Watson. I am a resident of Sauk Village, IL. I attended Bremen High School in Midlothian and Prairie State College in Chicago Heights, IL. I am currently employed by the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME). I also serve on the executive board of the Southland Friends of Labor. My goal as a trustee is to continue to provide quality and accessible services for all the citizens of Bloom Township.
Trustee Laretta Perez
Laretta Perez is married with three children. She also serves as the Finance Officer for a Civil Air Patrol squadron.
Laretta has served in various housing sectors including public, market, and subsidized for nearly 12 years. She served in the capacity as Property Manager, Occupancy Manager, and Housing Counselor. She holds active certifications as a Manager of Housing, as Tax Credit Specialist, and as an Occupancy Specialist.
She is an active member of school district 161 PTO and an active volunteer at M&M Childcare Center. She served 8 years in the Army Reserves as a Personnel Administrator Clerk.
Laretta Perez holds an Associate’s degree in Business Management from Prairie State College, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Governors State University and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Finance from Walden University.
